Hillside Ventnor 2014

Graffiti artist, graphic and videogame designer Steve Miles (aka Toxic363) exhibits his first collection of work on canvas at Hillside Bistro this month.

Hillside Bistro in Ventnor is known not just for its food, but also for its vibrant and eclectic art exhibitions.

This month you can see graffiti-inspired works on canvas by Freshwater based artist, Steve Miles. This will be the first public exhibition of his abstract works on canvas.

Steve tells us his work is informed by years spent as a graffiti artist (read his full background below) working on large scale outdoor projects, and has developed over the last four years in his studio, where he began working on canvas for the first time.

UrbanDistress
The title for this body of work is UrbanDistress. Using acrylics and dense, multi-layering techniques, Steve has produced a large collection of rich and colourful abstract works. The exhibition features a selection of medium to large-scale canvases.
